Volunteer Parent Organization (V.P.O.)

Discovery has a strong volunteer parent organization. There are no dues to pay and all parents are automatically members. Parent activities range from fundraisers to classroom assistants. Specific events include book fairs, enrichment activities, Young Author’s Day, fall fundraiser, and t-shirt orders. All parents are encouraged to volunteer and help inside the classroom and for special events. HOWEVER, all parents and volunteers must fill out a WA State Patrol form and be thumbprinted before working with students or chaperoning a school event. Forms are available in the school office.
